This was a fun project. The customer didn’t like any aftermarket Air Gates so he had me build him a custom job. He had no idea how I was going to do the latch system and neither did I when I started. That’s what made it fun, freestyling it. I used stainless steel aircraft cable wound around a little drum, attached to the emblem-handle, to pull both side latches. It ended up being a lot easier to use than yanking on a stock handle.
