Hundreds and hundreds of different wheels out there but really only a few different basic styles with one of the most popular having five spokes. Cheap wheels? Wagon wheels, typically used on 4x4s. Don't look too good on a truck unless you go real wide for the Nascar look. Most of the 5 spoke wheels have been done before and for good reason. They look good. Especially with large wheels diameter and low profile tires. After looking through 100s of old Chevy truck pics online, I opted for something I haven't seen yet. Doesn't mean that it hasn't been done but at least it's not super common like Torque Thrusts or Torque Thrust look a likes and let's face it Cragar was the first to popularize that look in the 60s. Riddler makes a 5 spoke that's a little different so that's what I chose for my first build.
As soon as they came in, I put them on just to check clearances. All clear but a drum behind them doesn't look all that great, nor does a stock rotor. I'll be getting a newer, wider blazer rear axle with disc brakes most likely and I might even pick up some drilled and slotted rotors.
